Sun's variability affect and/or cause global climate change
The link between winds, temperatures and the sun and its cycles, is something that scientists have been trying to understand for decades. Scientists know that solar variability changes the distribution of energy in the earth's atmosphere, but during the sun's eleven year cycle, from "solar maximum" through "solar minimum", the energy released by the sun changes (close to ten percent). My theory- most studies have shown that changing levels of energy from the sun are not significant enough to be a major cause of global warming. The solar increases would not cause large global temperature to increase (not that I am a scientist or anything, but research gets you a long way!) Greenhouse gases are also playing a dominant role. The sun is once again less bright as we approach solar minimum, yet global warming continues and who knows maybe there is a second sun out there that will end the world come 2012.
